Up to ten retaining attorneys, one opposing, grouped by firm.
A case can have up to ten retaining attorneys and exactly one opposing counsel. Opposing is a single field on purpose — it is editable if counsel changes, but a case rarely needs a list.
Typing an attorney onto a case also saves them to Contacts, so the next case auto-fills from the name. The two stay in step without a separate sync.
GROUPED BY FIRM
Attorneys at the same firm are grouped under it wherever the firm appears: the Bill To block on invoices, the engagement letter address, and your 1099 totals. This matters at tax time — a 1099 is issued per firm, not per attorney, so four attorneys at one firm must roll into one figure.
