Your Rule 26 disclosure
Building the four-year testimony list from your time log.
FRCP 26(a)(2)(B)(v) requires a list of every case in which you testified as an expert at trial or by deposition during the preceding four years.
SCANNING YOUR TIME LOG
Scan time logs finds entries logged against a testimony activity type. It matches on the activity’s testimony flag rather than its name, so a custom type of your own — "Arbitration Testimony", say — is found too. Flag your own types in My Practice.
Confirm an entry and it joins the list, with the case number, court and retaining attorneys filled in. An entry already on the list never appears in a later scan.
THE ROLLING WINDOW
The four-year window is recalculated whenever you view or export the list. Matters older than four years stay on file but drop off the disclosure on their own — there is nothing to prune.
WHY DETAILS ARE SNAPSHOTTED
The caption, court and attorney are copied onto the entry rather than read live from the case. A disclosure you have already served must keep reading as it did, even if you rename the case or correct its court afterwards.
